get a 'go bag' prepared so as that you can grab it and go if you're caught unaware.
what you will need in your 'Go Bag'
- water : a flask of clean water that you can refill when needed is really important.(be sure to empty and refill every few days to insure its fresh when the day comes)
- Food : a few small tins of tuna will be enough to last you 72 hours at least until you can get more( check the dates when you buy them, try to get some that have at least 3 years left)
- Tools : a small Swiss army knife would be great, or something similar with attachments that included a knife. don't forget the tin opener! a small pot for boiling water and cooking.
- Flash-light : a solar powered one would not go amiss, but not everyone has them on hand, a normal flash-light with enough batteries to change it 3 times!
- Radio : a small radio could be the difference between you being alone and finding a group to keep you safe!!
- Lighter (or matches) : a long cooker lighter or candle lighter is the best choice, you can use it to create fires easily for cooking and heat. (not to be used as a weapon if your in a zombie apocalypse, you DO NOT want to be faced with a zombie on fire!)
- First aid kit : now this is essential, it would suck to survive an apocalypse only to die of a infected cut. make sure there is bandages and plasters, antiseptic wipes, pain killers, and antibiotics.
- Weapon : attaching a crow bar securely to your bag could help greatly if you really have no time to grab any weapons. (its also a handy toll for prying doors open ect.)
i would also suggest learning to make a Molotov cocktail, its pretty simple, just look it up :)
It also help to be in good shape for the coming of the situation!
Exercise routine
ever morning and night it doesn't harm to do a short exercise.
it wont harm to go for a jog every now and then as well, by the time the situation arises you should be able to face it without huffing and puffing.
- first do some stretches, stretch every part of your body, shoulders, neck, arms, legs ect.
- next 20 star jumps
- 10 squats
- 15 crunches
- 15 push-ups
- last re-do all your stretching to wind down.
